New Crew Member: Thea Verry

Meet our new Project Facilitator, Thea! 

Thea joins us from Epic, where she worked as a Project Manager.

In her first week she has worked on getting familiar with our clients and software. She's also been settling in and using her eye for design to decorate her work space with the cutest posters and trinkets!

Welcome to the team! Why did you decide to join Ten Forward?

I was previously working at a big corporation and did not feel valued as an individual. I wanted to work for a company that would celebrate my uniqueness and care about my well-being, growth, and happiness! I was extremely impressed by Ten Forward’s emphasis on balance, diversity, and collaboration. It was pleasantly surprising to come across an opportunity that resonated so deeply with my values! 

What are you looking forward to learning or doing in your new role?

I am looking forward to collaborating with our internal team, as well as getting to know clients, learning about their needs, and helping to manage projects! I love working downtown, so I’m also excited to explore more around our office. 

How long have you lived in Madison? What is your favorite thing to do here?

I moved to Madison in July of 2022. I love going to Olbrich Botanical Garden to walk around, read, or chat with friends. I am also a big fan of Olbrich Park, James Madison Park, and Marshall Beach Park. Devils Lake State Park is my favorite place in close proximity to Madison. 

I heard you recently added a new family member! Can you introduce us to your new kitten? 

Dottie is the sweetest 2 month old tortie kitty that you’ll ever meet! She is a bit timid around new people, but loves to cuddle and sit at my balcony door watching birds. 

Where is your favorite place you’ve traveled to?

A few years ago, I went backpacking in Cumberland, Georgia, which was so beautiful. I was lucky enough to watch wild horses run along an abandoned island coast during a sunrise. It is a very magical place! 

You are a vegetarian! Where is your favorite place to eat in Madison? 

Green Owl Cafe, Mint Mark, Graze, and Thai Basil.

If I could only live in one season for the rest of my life, it would be summer because I love the sunshine and the blooming, bountiful gardens!

Favorite TV show?

My favorite TV shows are Breaking Bad, Malcolm in the Middle, and Schitts Creek. Choosing one would be wrong because it’s always dependent on my mood! 

Star Trek or Star Wars?

Star Trek because my dad is a big fan!
