Published October 19, 2022

Meet our newest developer, Ashlie!

Ashlie is joining us from American Family Insurance, where she worked with 10FW founder, Brian, doing primarily front-end React work. Ashlie also brings experience with full-stack Node.

In her first month, Ashlie has brought knowledge and positivity to the office, and we're grateful for her addition to the crew.

Read on to learn more about her interest in learning Ruby and how she got into tech (and to see some really cute cat pics 😻).

Welcome to the team! Why did you decide to join Ten Forward?

"I worked with Brian at [American Family Insurance], and when I was looking to get back into development, I was excited to see that Ten Forward was hiring developers!"

What are you looking forward to learning or doing in your new role?

"I’m excited to learn Ruby, since I hear it’s amazing. I’m also excited to work with junior developers who are just getting started in their careers."

What does the perfect day off look like for you?

"Hang out in bed with coffee and cats, cook brunch, hit the disc golf course, play some video games, get dinner and hang out with friends, then finish it off with streaming a movie or show."

Fill in the blanks: "If I could only __ one __ for the rest of my life, it would be __."

"If I could only play one video game for the rest of my life, it would be Dragon Age: Inquisition."
